Our Beliefs

God: We believe in one eternal God who is the creator of all things. He exists in three-persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Jesus: We believe that Jesus is the Lord of Heaven and Earth, the Savior for all mankind, and was fully God and fully man. He died on the cross for our sin, rose from the dead three days later, ascended to heaven & will return again.

The Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit empowers believers to see the miraculous in their life. This started in the book of Acts when the Church started and still continues to this day. This includes, but is not limited to healing, gift of faith, the prophetic, speaking in tongues, and evangelism.

The Bible: We believe that the Bible is the Word of God and is authoritative. It is the story of God’s redemption plan for humanity.

Creation: We believe that God created humanity in his image and likeness. Every single person is valuable and loved by God.

Sin: We believe that every person is guilty before God because of their disobedience to Him. That is why we needed a savior in Jesus Christ to undo the mess that we find in ourselves and in the world.

Salvation: We believe that salvation comes by Jesus Christ alone. We are what scripture calls “born again” when we have faith in who he says He is, we repent, and are water baptized. In other words, we trust in Jesus and what He did for us (faith), we change our minds to agree with God (repentance) about what He has said in the scripture and we publicly identify with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (baptism)

The Table Of The Lord: We believe in communion (or “the eucharist”), commonly called The Lord’s Supper that it is a special meal for believers.

Generosity: We believe that God is generous and has called the Church to live generously. We don’t believe in a “poverty gospel” nor a “prosperity gospel”, but rather a gospel of generosity. We believe in giving God 10% (i.e. the tithe) and living a life open to God’s leading to give where He leads us in other avenues.

The Enemy: We believe in the reality that there are evil spiritual beings at work in the World. Jesus has defeated the Devil, his demons and every evil spirit. Though they are defeated they are not yet destroyed until “the day of judgment”.

The Church: We believe that the Church goes beyond a denomination or affiliation and includes all people who believe the Scripture and follow Jesus. We believe that Jesus is the Head of every Church and that local churches exist to worship Jesus, to build up and equip Christians, and to serve the community. The Church is essential, not optional in the life of a Christian.

Marriage: We believe that marriage is sacred and was created by God. Marriage in the Bible is defined as the joining of one man and one woman and should be honored and protected.

Eternity: We believe that Heaven and Hell are realities in eternity and that our response to Jesus determines what our eternity will look like.

Water Baptism: We believe in water baptism by immersion in the name of the Eternal Godhead in order to fulfill the command of Christ.

Whosoever: We believe that the good news of Jesus extends to every single person on earth regardless of their past choices, their ethnicity, their social status or religious upbringing. Jesus’ transforming power is offered to anyone who would believe in Him, repent of their sin, and get baptized. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
